Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Established in 1956, the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a prestigious higher learning institution in China and one of the earliest TCM higher institutions since the foundation of People’s Republic of China. Located in Pudong Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, the university has more than 7,000 full-time students, and is equipped with world-class facilities for research and experimentation which underpin its research excellence in fundamental and applied sciences. The World Health Organization designated the university as a “WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine” since 1983.

Longhua Hospital Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Founded in July 1960, Longhua Hospital (affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) is one of the four oldest TCM clinical centers in China. Shuguang Hospital Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Shuguang Hospital (affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine), is one of the first class general hospitals in China with long history. It was established in 1906 and once named Siming Hospital, sponsored by countryman association of Ningbonese, Zhejiang province. In 1960, it was merged with Shanghai No.10 People’s hospital (a Western Medicine Hospital) and Shanghai No. 11 People’s Hospital (a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital). As a famous hospital with modern management, it has won many fames, for example, Shanghai Civil Unit for 11 times from 1986 to 2004, national model Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital, one of the top 100 national hospitals in 1999.The hospital has completed accreditation of ISO9001 in 2001 and became the pioneer Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital accredited by ISO9001 in China.
