Everyday Botanica

About the course


Offered in collaboration with Republic Polytechnic, the Everyday Botanica series of bite-sized workshops aims to introduce participants to how Traditional Chinese herbs can easily be incorporated to prepare healthy and nutritious daily meals. Through lecturers from Republic Polytechnic’s School of Applied Science and professional TCM practitioners, participants will learn about the therapeutic benefits of various herbs, as well as their usage via appropriate preparation and cooking methods to bring out the effectiveness of these herbs.

The Everyday Botanica series consist of the following 5 bite-sized workshops, along with what the participants will get to learn by the end of each workshop:

Seasonal Changes (Chinese session)

Learn the importance of diet therapy to stay healthy and restore imbalance in the body, due to seasonal changes.

7 Jan, 14 Jan
Total Vitality (Chinese session)

Learn the importance of Yin & Yang balance leading to good immunity, allowing you to glow with radiance.

8 Feb, 15 Feb
Calm and Relief (Chinese session)

Learn to cook different tonic soups that can boost vital energy and help support the healing of a lethargic body.

4 Mar, 6 Mar
Heart and Digestive Health (English session)

Learn how to make tonic soups that helps to improve blood circulation and improve digestive health for overall well-being.

4 Apr, 18 Apr
Beauty and Wellness (Chinese session)

Learn the importance of food therapy as part of the beauty and wellness regime. Learn how to prepare a pot of goodness to promote good balance within the body.

Participants may select and apply for any or all of the 5 bite-sized workshops through the corresponding application link.

Certification

For each workshop attended, participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance jointly conferred by Eu Yan Sang Academy and Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of attendance requirement.
