Xu Yizhen, Deputy Chief Physician in Yueyang Hospital (affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). She is highly experienced and a well-known physician who has been involved in the clinical practice and teaching of TCM gynaecology for nearly 30 years. Professor Xu was promoted to an attending physician in 1993 and in 2001, she was promoted to a deputy chief physician. She was under the tutelage of the famous Professor Shen Zhongli, Physician Zhu Nansun, and the main successor to the work studio of Famous Doctor Shen Zhongli.

Prof Xu has published many papers on the research on gynaecological diseases such as uterine fibroids, ovarian dysfunction, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome etc. She has also compiled several works on gynaecology, demonstrating her knowledge, experience and research results in the field of gynecology.

Prof Xu was also invited by the Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Centre of Singapore General Hospital as a visiting Physician of Bao Zhong Tang TCM Clinic to attend a forum jointly organized by both Western doctors and TCM Physicians in Singapore, a first in Singapore. The forum topic was on reproduction and sexual health. Professor Xu specialises in using integrative medicine, mainly through the use of use of Chinese Medicine, for the treatment and management of gynaelogical diseaseses such as Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding, Uterine Fibroids, Endometriosis, Amenorrhea, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Infertility.
